pitsWheeler Robotics is ran by students with adult mentoring. The robot and all projects involve students. Any student is welcome to participate and share their skills with the group. Our goal is to allow students to learn through their own triumphs and failures. Throughout the design phase students are constantly planning and implementing ideas that the majority has agreed upon. We fail more than we succeed. Thats how we learn.
coop The competitions are wonderful. Words do not describe the experience. About 40 teams are competeing to win, yet the game always requires cooperation. The pits are the greatest learning experience you'll ever see. Teams help each other repair broken robots. Teams often borrow tools, supplies and knowledge. It is the ultimate in Gracious Professionalism.

The competitions remind me of college football games. The crowd is having fun watching teams be successful. People are in costumes, the music is great. Most teams are from throughout the United States but some teams come from all over the globe to compete.

This experience is like no other that a high school student participate. Knowledge, skill and hardwork are rewarded with competition, fellowship, and wisdom.

If you are interested in getting involved please contact us. We can use any help. Donations of equipment, time, supplies, discounts on everything from food to hotels and transportation, or financial support is greatly welcomed.

Only through the support of our community can our youth be equiped to deal with the problems that they will face.
